Thursday, November 21, 1968, and the Clarkston Packers 5th grade football team from Clarkston Elementary school in Tyler, Texas, is undefeated. I wanted our team to be the be the Cowboys, but Green Bay was dominate in professional football at the time, so the majority of the team wanted to be the Packers. Of course, I am sure that Chip Harrison wanted us to be the Vikings, since that was his favorite team.
This newspaper picture has faded and I did the best I could with it in terms of scanning the image for viewing on a website. If you know any of the boys in this picture and maybe even have better pictures, please let me know. Seeing these guys and their names brings back many great memories. I wonder where we all are now...
