We enjoyed a Blue Man performance this afternoon in Dallas. Three guys in blue doing crazy things on stage and with the audience using marshmallows, cereal, spray paint, pvc pipe, drums, lighting, message boards, special effects and other things, such as the a band in the balcony above the stage. All of these acts were accomplished without any Blue Man saying a word. Today's show was very similar the to the one we experienced in December 2007 in Chicago.

I receive emails from time to time from people who remark that my site has not been updated for a while: am I ok? Several days or even a couple of weeks may elapse between updates because I do not wish to bore readers with unnecessary details of everyday life. For example I doubt that anyone would care to read about the check engine light in my car, or the fact that I finally cleaned out the rain gutters again. But perhaps there is an update to be seen: be sure that your web browser is displaying the most recent edition of the page by hitting the refresh key and be sure that you are on jerrykline.net, not jerrykline.com.

I have completed the book I Survived Auschwitz by Krystyna Zywulska. The horrors of these concentration camps can scarcely be believed. I walked the grounds of Auschwitz and Birkenau during my recent visit to Poland. I take hope from reading books that show people facing adversity with courage and dignity, determined to survive.

The MRI from last Friday has been officially reviewed as clean! This was scan # 47 (1 CAT, 45 MRIs and 1 PET) performed since 29 January 2004. No CBC test was needed and the mini-mental exam wasn't required either. I spoke to Dr. Stark-Vance about additional meds to take now to preempt a 4th recurrent tumor. Looks like I will be starting Celebrex and Vitamin D (yes, the same Vitamin D found in or added to milk) in a couple of months.

I am 79 months post op today. The events that have transpired since 04 February 2004 have taken me to school socially, professionally, academically, grammatically and theologically. I have been turned inside out and upside down in so many ways. I have labored to become a competent patient.

My routine bi-monthly MRI performed today looks clean to me. I will receive the radiologist's report next Wednesday.

I finished reading the book But I Survived. Author Tadeusz Sobolewicz spent World War II in several Nazi concentration camps. His story truly is remarkable and is available on amazon.com.

I received many Happy Birthday wishes yesterday, many of them from Facebook friends. Maybe these social networking sites have some value after all. :)
